Scenic Shutterbug produces archival quality giclée prints and photographic products in-house. Custom tiles are also produced in-house for various applications, including backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, countertops, and floors as well as decorative and functional home accents.

PRINT INFORMATION

How are the Prints Made?

In-house prints are produced using professional-grade photochromic ink printers. Prints can be produced on a variety of media from standard photo papers to archival quality water color papers or canvas. The size of prints can be varied, depending on the image selected and your specific requirements. Typically, Giclee prints up to 13" x 44" are produced in-house.

Giclee PrintsGiclee (zhee-clay) prints are fine-art digital prints produced on high quality ink jet printers using fine-art, archival media, and pigment-based inks.  These media include acid-free papers with a high rag (cotton) content in a variety of finishes, including glossy, semi-gloss, matte, and watercolor, as well as canvas.  The inks are long-lasting and formulated to insure that the colors remain stable and do not fade under normal display conditions.  Depending on the papers used, under proper display conditions the inks are rated to remain stable for 70-200 years. Each print is individually prepared, so each is a one-of-a kind creation.  There is no degradation of the image with multiple printings.  There may be subtle differences from one print to the next as aesthetic adjustments or different crops are made, or as improvements are made to the materials available.

SHIPPING POLICY - PRINTS

Images are shipped with white mats in boxes. These provide the best protection against damage during the shipping processing. We are happy to be able to provide free shipping for all of your orders within the United States and low-cost, flat-rate shipping internationally. Please call for details on international shipping rates.

SHIPPING POLICY - TILES

Tiles are boxed and shipped in protective packaging to prevent breakage in transit. Shipping costs are assessed for the actual cost of shipping the tiles to you. All tile shipments are insured against loss or damage.

RETURN POLICY

Any items that arrived damaged will be replaced at no charge. Please contact us to obtain an RMA number and shipping documents and return the damaged image to us. A replacement will be shipped immediately. Please note: if we have not received the damaged article within 10 days, you will be charged for the replacement item.

All images are inspected before shipping to insure that print colors are rendered accurately. We make every effort to insure that images are perfect before shipping prints to you. However, if you receive an items with an obvious defects it will of course be replaced at no cost.

REPLACEMENT POLICY - TILES

Because we realize things can happen during installation, we will provide a limited number of replacement tiles for tile murals. The precise number will be specified in the contract. If a tile breaks during installation within 60-days of receipt, contact us for details on how to obtain a replacement. If a tile breaks in transit, it will be replaced at no charge.
